    Promoter Joshua Predicts Wilder vs. Tyson Fury Duel to Be Held This Year

    Promoter Anthony Joshua, Eddie Hearn believes that Deontay Wilder will not fight Luis Ortiz as he had planned before. Instead, he thought the American boxer would defend the WBC heavyweight champion in a repeat fight against Tyson Fury rather than choosing to hold a risky duel against boxers nicknamed King Kong.

    Hearn explained that the prospect of fighting Wilder versus Fury was a big one. Because of that, he didn't think boxers nicknamed Bronze Bomber would choose Ortiz.

    Furthermore, Hearn said Dillian Whyte would face the winner of a rematch between Wilder versus Tyson Fury, after he defeated Oscar Rivas at the O2 Arena in London, England, on July 20. "I don't believe Wilder will fight Ortiz. I am sure he will fight with Tyson Fury next," Hearn was quoted as saying from Boxingnews24, Saturday (06/22/2019).

    "I don't think Wilder will take the risk of fighting Ortiz because they refused to fight Joshua. I think that's what he will do, and I think the winner must fight with Dillian Whyte," Hearn added.

    Hearn did a lot of speculation in predicting that Wilder would not fight Ortiz, who was 40 years old as he had originally planned. So far the Tyson Fury camp has changed its mind to delay the fight again this year. Tyson Fury's camp prefers to wait until 2020 before holding a repeat fight against Wilder. But Hearn believes that the Tyson versus Wilder duel will take place later this year.

    "I think they (Wilder and Fury) will go straight to the fight for the end of the year, and then the winner must fight with Dillian Whyte," concluded Hearn. { Source }
