    Marquez Pleases Moto2 to Use a New Machine

    The 2019 season is a new start for Moto2 because the competition has used a new engine to welcome the new title. Having previously been supplied by Honda, now in 2019 Moto2 has officially used the engine from a British motorbike manufacturer, Triumph.

    By replacing the engine from the Moto2 motorbike, the drivers of the competition used a 765cc iron horse, which was based on the 2017 Triumph Street Triple. The development of the engine was clearly a pretty good improvement for the Moto2 competition. Even the Repsol Honda Team racer, Marc Marquez, claimed to be happy with Moto2's decision to turn the engine into using Triumph.

    Marquez feels that the current Moto2 motorbike is more worthy of being called a racing motorbike for racing on an official circuit. If when using a Honda engine, The Baby Alien - nicknamed Marquez - looks more like a motorbike that uses a street engine on a race track.

    With the engine changes, Marquez also believes that every team in Moto2 will be able to do more with electronic motors so they can make more power. If that can be done, then Marquez believes the distance between the Moto2 and MotoGP is not too different.

    "They say it (Triumph machine) like a racing engine, more for racing, whereas before it was more like a road engine on a race track," Marquez said, as quoted from Motorsport, Monday (4/29/2019).

    "Now they can play a little with electronics and (make) more powerful motors. We have seen them drive at a speed of 300 km / h at the end of a straight track. I think it will be better because it is close to the MotoGP motorbike, "concluded Alex Marquez's sibling. { SOURCE }
