Madrid's La Liga main target next season: Zidane
Zinedine Zidane targets domestic success with Real Madrid next season rather than the Champions League trophy. The French coach insisted, Los Blancos made the 2019/2020 La Liga trophy as the main target.
"We have to change this dynamic. I tell you, that we will try to start La Liga next season in the best way. We have to make La Liga our main target next year," Zidane told Marca.
Zidane brought Los Blancos to the La Liga title in the 2016/2017 season. However, rivals Madrid, Barcelona, are currently on track for their fourth victory in five years.
"We have won 33 league titles," Zidane said. "How many won Barcelona? They did well lately and you have to congratulate them."
"But if we talk about Madrid numbers, we have more league titles and I'm not saying this in self-defense, but because you told me (Barcelona) have done better in the league lately."
Zidane will take Real Madrid against Getafe in the LA LA 2018/2019 continuation at Coliseum Alfonso Perez, Wednesday (4/2019) or Thursday (4/26/2019) starting at 02.30 WIB.
"What (Getafe) did was phenomenal," Zidane said. "This is the result of their work and we will go there trying to win."
Vinicius Junior has returned to training with the first team after two months out due to an ankle injury, but he will not appear at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez. "He won't get another minute," Zidane said. "He's been out for two months and he needs more recovery time."
While the player who can return from injury is Thibaut Courtois. "He is ready and available for the team," Zidane said.
Courtois has fallen behind Keylor Navas in power since Zidane returned. Courtois is said to be leaving the Bernabeu later this season.
